Start from a template

The template wizard on the Isabyte hub builds a starting application for your tech and your line of business: a company website, a web shop, a booking site, a blog and more. You answer a short series of questions; the wizard delivers an app that runs on day one, as a download or as the first commit in your own repository. The rest is finished by your own AI coding agent, which gets everything it needs from the template to continue without guessing.

Open the template wizard

What you get

  • A runnable application: pages, navigation, the languages you chose, sign-in when you asked for it, and the storage and hosting set-up you picked (running locally, in containers or on Kubernetes).
  • Your own theme, generated from your colours, fonts, corner style and density, in light, dark or both.
  • isabyte.template.json: every answer, and whether you chose it, accepted a suggestion, or left it undecided.
  • Skill files for your AI agent, in the layout that agent reads: the Power Tools component skills, the rules of your business domain, and a UX standard.
  • DATA-MAP.md (which personal data is stored where) and prepare.md (what to add next, and how).

What is not in the box

The download contains Isabyte components, your theme and your own answers, nothing else. Third-party libraries, fonts, icon sets, payment and sign-in SDKs, analytics and social-media pixels are never packed. The template prepares for them instead: a place in the code, the settings in an .env template, and a note in prepare.md. You add what you need later, under that vendor's own terms. This keeps the download free of other people's code and of anything that collects personal data.

How the wizard works

  1. Quick start asks only what you alone can decide: your tech, the app's name, the business category, the languages, a design style and your AI agents. Everything else is filled in with a best-practice suggestion, and the reason is shown next to it.
  2. Customise walks through every step, from storage and sign-in to hosting, payments and git, if you want to decide more yourself.
  3. Review shows the modules, the file tree and your theme. Then download the zip, or push it to a new repository on GitHub, GitLab or Gitea.

Browsing the wizard is free. Downloading or pushing a template needs a free Isabyte account; no licence is needed to get the code. The address bar holds your answers, so you can share a half-finished template or come back to it later.

Options that are not complete yet are marked, and you can still choose them. A sign-in, payment or storage option that is only prepared ships as a documented seam for your agent to finish. A combination that is not built at all cannot be downloaded yet, but you can vote for it on the review page, and the votes help decide what we build next.

Continue with your AI agent

  1. Unzip the download or clone the repository.
  2. Add your licence key where the template's README says.
  3. Run the app. It starts with your theme, your pages and your languages.
  4. Open the folder with your AI agent. It reads isabyte.template.json first, asks you about anything you left undecided, and then builds feature by feature, following the skill files for your business domain.
